The „RDM ISOLATION TRANSFORMER„: Both, signal amplification and in/out isolation are provided by the 3401B-H DMX RDM Line Booster. The unit clips onto standard DIN rail (35mm) and features a microprocessor controlled protocol detector to indicate protocol compliance.
The 3401B-H is fully DMX RDM compatible and is the best solution to „extend“ DMX data lines.
The 3401B-H is fully RDM compatible, but it does not appear as RDM device itself. Thus the 3401B-H does not show any RDM properties. This does neither affect the number of connected RDM devices nor RDM functionality. This behaviour is known as „transparent“: effective, inconspicious. Since the 3401B-H only cares about the standardized structure of RDM commands, and does not care about contents, on of its big advantages is to function absolutely independent of signal contents. Thus future changes or amendments to RDM commands will never affect the 3401B-H: this device will function always.
