The 3801D-H is a DMX to DALI converter similar to the 7044B-H. The decoder drives connected DALI ballasts wired conforming to the DALI bus schema, and provides a DALI bus powered output capable of addressing up to five adresses or DALI groups. The interface can directly operate from 115/230V mains supply. The DALI bus is internally powered, thus there is no need for external bus power supplies. Additional optical isolation between DMX IN and the DALI output provides increased safety and makes the decoder SELV compatible.

The 3801D-H is intended for permanent installations. Thus it does not have any configuration switches. All settings can be programmed using DMX RDM or, if you do not have access to a DMX RDM controller, a standard start address board 3000P is available as as separate accessory.

The 3801D-H supports the DALI output protocol and can be configured to match either a 1%...100% or a extended 0,1%...100% DALI control range. Since the decoder drives a DALI bus, the connected ballasts must be commissioned to a specific DALI address (1...5) or a specific DALI group (1...5). The 3801D-H supports one powered DALI bus output, which can be loaded with up to 8 electronic ballasts max. Since the output is internally powered, no external DALI bus power PSU must be attached. If you need to drive a externally powered DALI bus system, pls use the decoder 7044B- instead.
